in_form: Visualizing Networkism Exhibition
in_form is an exhibition comprised of installations and structural works inspired by the artistic trend Networkism. This conceptual exhibition offers a collection of information design molded into form. Large-scale structural works and installations give new visual representation to complex data systems.
Networkism was first introduced by Manuel Lima in his book Visual Complexity: Mapping Patterns of Information. He explains that Networkism is stimulated by rhizomatic properties like non-linearity, multiplicity, scientific advances and interconnectedness in the study areas of physics, genetics, computer systems, molecular biology, neuroscience and sociology. Featured in this exhibition, is installation artist Esther Stocker.
This exhibition is purely conceptual. All artist work is to accompany the visualization of the concept.
